We have a great team here at Supportive Insurance Services.  Our close-knit staff of 29 highly trained professionals are focused on the licensing needs of insurance agencies, agents, adjusters and insurers.  We have a tremendous amount of experience in insurance licensing; our employees have an average of 20 years of licensing and insurance experience.

Jeff Brinkmann is the owner and President & CEO of Supportive Insurance Services—a national provider of licensing and maintenance services to insurance agencies, adjusting firms and insurance companies. The company was founded in 2001. Jeff joined Supportive Insurance Services in 2004.

Jeff has over 38 years of experience in the insurance industry including 14 years with an A-rated life and health insurer, Golden Rule Insurance Company. At Golden Rule, Jeff served as the officer of Marketing and Sales Administration. In that role, he had practical operations, customer service, team building, marketing, management, and sales experience (including licensing, contracting and commissions).

Cindy Hawkins began working with Supportive Insurance Services in January 2006 and has worked in the insurance industry for over 36 years.  Cindy is the Team Leader for Supportive’s licensing maintenance team, having started as a license administrator.

Cindy responsibilities include overseeing the process of agent and agency license renewals, license copies, license cancellations, demographic changes and tracking CE credits.  Her team also maintains the licensing database used by our clients to view their information online.  Cindy is the main liaison with our maintenance clients.  She maintains client access to the database by creating the client logins and passwords and works with our maintenance clients to make sure they are able to generate reports via the database.  In addition, Cindy notifies clients of renewals due each month and applicable CE requirements.  Her attention to detail is crucial to her team meeting state guidelines and deadlines.

Cindy is married and has four children and 2 grandchildren. She and her husband enjoy gardening, landscaping, shopping, reading, attending and watching various sporting events and spending time with their family and friends.

Candy McKinney came to our company in October 2007 with over 27 years of experience as an insurance claims adjuster. Although new to producer licensing, she has made a seamless transition.

Candy began her career at Supportive as a Licensing Administrator and is now the Team Leader of the Producer Licensing Department.  She is responsible for all aspects of producer licensing including the processing of licensing applications and other client service functions.

Candy is married and has two children and three grandchildren. She enjoys spending time with family and attending sporting events.

KELLY ALDRIDGE

Kelly Aldridge began working with Supportive Insurance Services in May 2006 and has worked in the insurance industry for 23 years.

Kelly began her career at Supportive as a License Administrator and is now the Team Leader for Adjuster Licensing.  Kelly is responsible for all aspects of adjuster licensing and is our liaison for adjuster licensing clients.  Her attention to detail and relationship building skills with clients has been a crucial part of building Supportive’s adjuster licensing business.

Kelly has a son and daughter-in-law.  In her leisure time, Kelly enjoys spending time with her family and friends, watching movies and shopping.

JANNA BELL

Embarrassing moment:   I ran into the garage when I had my Tahoe.  You had to swing out to pull in the garage and I misjudged and didn’t make it through the opening.  Luckily it just dented the siding and moved my bumper back a little.

Favorite quote:   I would rather live my life as if there is a God and die to find out there isn’t, than live my life as if there is no God and die to find out there is.

Favorite vacation spot:  I loved Hawaii, because of the beautiful sights and the wonderful weather.  We were there for a week and it only rained once.  It was also the perfect temperature in October.  It was warm enough to be able to swim, but not so hot that you were miserable being outside.  I also enjoyed the culture, because it was so different than what we have around here.

Favorite sports team:   I like Dale Earnhardt Jr, but I’m not really into sports much.  I just think Dale Jr is nice to look at.

If you were a cartoon character, who would you be?   My husband says Olive Oyl but the girls at work say Tinker Bell

 

Janna Bell began working with Supportive Insurance Services in 2011. She worked in the insurance industry for 18 years. Janna is a Licensing Administrator. Her responsibilities include license application processing and other client service functions.

CHRISTY KRICK

Greatest accomplishment: My children, twin pregnancy was not easy!

Most embarrassing moment: In December of 2012 I hit black ice on my way to work while passing our department Team Leader Candy. Needless to say, lesson learned. I still tease her that if she weren’t driving so slow I would not have passed, and she still swears that I was speeding. (I wasn’t speeding, just for the record. She was driving SLOW.)

Favorite quote: Why fit in when you were born to stand out?” – Dr. Seuss

Three words that describe you: Very, Very, Forgetful! This is typically towards my phone and car keys!

Favorite thing about working at Supportive: The atmosphere… we have a great group of people here.  Did I mention that they all have a good sense of humor, and are not afraid to give me a hard time constantly?

 

Christy joined Supportive Insurance Services in 2010. She has 9 years experience in the insurance industry and 11 years of experience in customer service. Christy is a Licensing Administrator.

She holds an associate’s degree from Lincoln Trail College, a medical assistant certificate and has completed additional courses at Indiana State University.

Christy is married and has three daughters (including twins) that keep life interesting. She enjoys cooking, working in her garden, spending time with family and exercising.

BEATRICE HOOVER

When you were little, what did you want to be when you grew up:  I didn’t want to grow up.  I had a great childhood.

Ideal vacation:  Go to Claremore Castle for tea with the Dowager.

Most memorable moment:  The moment I met my husband.

Most embarrassing moment:  I went to a concert to see a Beatles tribute band and I wore a silk aqua blue top with beads at the neckline…very retro and perfect for the occasion.  During a song the crowd was standing and singing along and they lowered the house lights and turned on a black light.  I might has well been standing there with no top on.  My white bra showed through like a beacon.  It was the longest song of my life!!

Beatrice began working with Supportive Insurance Services part-time in July 2010 and became a full-time employee in October 2012.  She has worked in the insurance industry for over 28 years. During that time she earned the Associate in Customer Service (ACS) designation from LOMA.

Bea’s responsibilities include sending new and renewal license copies to our clients and obtaining duplicate licenses when requested.  She also assists with special projects.

Beatrice is married and has two sons.  She enjoys gardening, reading and spending time with her family.

Hobbies:  I enjoy upcycling old antiques in need of TLC, which leads to redo projects around the home.  I also enjoy time spent baking and cooking in the kitchen.

Most memorable moment: Holding my grandson for the first time!  Nothing like it.

Embarrassing moment: Hard to say, because it happens frequently.  But i do tell my supervisor…there is a difference between dingy and dumb!

 

Laura began working with Supportive Insurance Services in 2011.  She has over 20 years of customer service experience. She is an Assistant Licensing Administrator.  She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana State University.

In her leisure time, Laura enjoys going to auctions and salvage yards looking for her next project.  Her favorite thing to do is spending time with her grandson (and kids and husband).

What is your biggest accomplishment?  My children.  Being a mother was the only thing in life I wanted. Having 3 in less than 4 years and raising them with two more children less than 6 years older was an accomplishment. I look back now and wonder how we did it.

What are your favorite books to read?  I enjoy love stories.  I like books by Nicholas Sparks, Danielle Steele and Judith McNaught.

What do you like about working at Supportive?  It is a relaxed atmosphere. Casual dress and flex hours are wonderful. Everyone gets along. The bosses are understanding and work with us on time off and our workload. I love my job and even figuring out problems.

Do you have a favorite sports team?  The Miami Dolphins.  Not sure the boss knows about this one since she’s an avid Indianapolis Colts fan!

What is your most memorable moment?  When I had my first child and realized I made a small human being.

Paula Stephens began working with Supportive Insurance Services in January 2010 and has worked in the insurance licensing industry for 21 years. During those years, she earned Associate in Customer Service and Associate in Insurance Agency Administration certificates.

Paula is a renewal licensing administrator, and her responsibilities include the processing of all agent and agency license renewals and tracking CE credits for resident producers.  Paula is very diligent and makes sure all licenses are renewed on time.  Her role requires her to handle any issues that arise during the process to ensure timely renewals.

Paula is married with three children, two step-children and seven grand-children. Her favorite pastimes include outdoor activities with her family, such as hunting and fishing, watching movies and spending time with friends.

MARIE BLOMGREN

Most memorable moment:  Besides the obvious of giving birth to my son, I would say meeting Bruce Springsteen.  I was so excited that when I took his picture with my husband, I only got their hands in the picture!

If you were a cartoon character, who would you be?  Mickey Mouse.  He is my idol…fun loving and happy all the time!

Three words to describe you:  Organized, particular and talkative

What is your favorite thing about working at Supportive?  The environment, I feel very much at home with my co-workers. The day I walked in the doors I was comfortable from the start.

What is one thing people would be surprised to learn about you?  I was number 5 out of 6 girls…no brothers. My poor dad! It definitely was an interesting childhood.

 

Marie joined Supportive Insurance Services in June 2015 as an adjuster licensing administrator.  She has worked in the insurance industry for 22 years and has a property/casualty license.  At Supportive, Marie processes adjuster licensing renewals and works with clients to assure all follow-up requirements are met.

Marie is married and has a son, daughter-in-law, grandson and grandaughter.  She and her husband enjoy music and like going to concerts.

KELLY POTTS

Most memorable moment: That a hard one because I have several, but I’m going with the day I married my best friend and soul mate of 22 years, Sean.

What you wanted to be when you grew up: A cashier at Kmart. I was somewhat able to fulfill that dream as a cashier at the local grocery store in high school.

Most embarrassing moment: The summer between my 7th and 8th grade year I decided to go ‘blonde’…Sun-In plus dark brown hair = orange hair and I had to start my 8th grade year with this clown hair!! Needless to say, I have NEVER lightened my hair myself again!!

Musical preference: I like it all…from Conway Twitty to Bob Seger to Aerosmith.

Anything else we should know about you: I was born and raised on a farm so I’m pretty much a redneck county girl. I much rather sit around a fire with friends and kids playing in the yard than just about anything else.

 

Kelly Potts joined Supportive Insurance Services in 2009 and has 25 years of experience in the insurance industry.

Kelly is an Adjuster Licensing Administrator responsible for processing of adjuster and adjuster firm licensing.

Kelly is married and has two sons. She enjoys reading, camping, watching her boys play sports, volunteering on her son’s sports committees and spending time with her family.

BETH MCGUIRE

Favorite vacation spot:  My family and I have fond memories of  summer vacations in northern Michigan, spring vacations visiting my dad in FL and AZ as well as Cub’s games and museums in Chicago. Our favorite vacation was Disney World and Sea World in Orlando.

Greatest accomplishment:  When we became parents after 15 years of marriage. We adopted both of our daughters from Vietnam.  It was a long, expensive and stressful journey.  However, it was so worth it.  It was the best thing we ever did!!

Favorite movie:  Now that my daughters are older, I enjoy seeing movies other than the Disney ones.  However, the 3-D version of ‘Frozen’ was incredible.  I don’t usually like 3-D movies but this one was so well done!  My daughters and I tend to watch Netflix movies at home during fall break and Christmas break.  It’s our ‘bonding’ time now that they are almost adults.

Most memorable moment:  December 29, 1998 – Our youngest daughter and I flew for over 24 hours from Vietnam to our home airport.  I put her on the ground then got down on my knees.  I introduced her to our then four-year old daughter.  Our new little 15-month old reached out to her new sister and gave her a big hug.  It was the sweetest moment ever!

 

Beth joined Supportive Insurance Services in March 2009. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree from William Woods University. She has over 29 years of insurance experience. Previously, Beth was Executive Director for the Security & Insurance Licensing Association (SILA) and holds a SILA-Fellow designation.

Beth and her husband have two daughters.  Beth serves as an elder in her church.

ROSEMARY ROARK

Favorite vacation spot or ideal vacation:  I will always love Disney World, no matter what age I am!

When you were little, what did you want to be when you grow up:   A ballerina.   Since I couldn’t go to dance class as a child, I made both my daughters take dance classes from pre-school thru high school.   (Fortunately, they both love dance too)

Favorite restaurant :  Richards Farm in Casey, Illinois. The food is wonderful and the setting is in a historic barn that was built in the 1930’s.

Embarrassing moment:  I was carrying a 3-pot crockpot and slipped on a sidewalk in front of a business.   One minute I was walking and the next thing I knew, I was laying flat on the sidewalk, faced-down with my body and arms stretched out like superman.     I “saved” the crockpots but my body sure took the beating!   LOL!

What is one thing people would be surprised to learn about you:  I have an amateur radio license.   Years ago, my husband was a big HAM radio enthusiast and talked me into taking the test to get my license too.   I memorized information about sound, audio and radio frequencies that I will never use in this lifetime.

 

Rosemary began working with Supportive in April 2013 as an accounting assistant after having spent 27 years in the insurance industry.  Rosemary previously worked at Golden Rule Insurance Company where she was a supervior of policy administration.  Her responsibilities include account receiveables and bank deposits.

Rosemary has been married for 31 years.  She and her husband have two daughters and a son-in-law.

April Eaton began working as a Licensing Administrator at Supportive Insurance Services in November of 2015. As as licensing administrator, April works with agents and agencies to obtain new non-resident life/health, property/casualty and surplus lines licenses. Prior to coming to Supportive, April spent 10 years as a local business owner, followed by 15 years as a Finance & Insurance Manager for a GM dealership.

April enjoys spending time decorating her new home, and relaxing with her husband Scott, and their dog Thor.  She is also very close to her family and friends, and enjoys spending time with them.

Most memorable moment:   Miami Beach vacation in February of 2018 with my late husband. The weather was perfect the entire time.

When I was little what I wanted to be when I grew up:  At first I wanted to work at McDonald’s so I could have all the cheeseburgers I wanted.  Then I wanted to be a country western singer, but it would have helped if I could sing.

Eileen began working at Supportive Insurance Services in June of 2018 as a licensing administrator.  Her duties include processing affiliations, officer changes and designated licensed responsible producer changes.

Prior to coming to Supportive, Eileen worked at a local automobile dealership when she quickly worked her way up to service manager.  She then worked at a dealership near St Louis and started their business development center.

What you wanted to be when you grew up:  A  doctor – I was placed in an accounting class my senior year of high school to fill my schedule and decided I wanted to be a number cruncher instead. I am a proud alumnus of the Red Hill High School Math Team!

Sam began working with Supportive Insurance Service in April 2019 as Lead Accountant. She has over 7 years of accounting experience, having previously worked at a GM dealership. Her responsibilities include payroll, accounts payable, banking, etc. Sam received Bachelor of Science degrees in both accounting and finance from the University of Southern Indiana, as well as her MBA from USI.

Sam enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and chocolate lab Feisty. In her spare time, she likes to read, watch football, and watch Hallmark movies.

Something you may not know about me:  I am a farm girl and the oldest of my siblings. I drove a tractor helping on the family farm. There were a few evenings during farming season that the guy I dated would come out and ride the tractor with me.  And, by the way, I married him 42 years ago.


Lila Smith joined Supportive Insurance Services in November 2017 as an accounting assistant.  Her responsibilities including accounts receivable and reconciling accounts. Lila and her husband have three daughters and 8 grandchildren.  

Lila grew up in Illinois, but lived in Charleston, West Virginia where she enjoyed the beautiful Appalachian Mountains.  She is happy to be back in Vincennes close to where she grew up and near her family again.
