As of July 14, 2010, all Oklahoma resident adjusters will now be required to complete a two-hour Legislative Update continuing education (CE) requirement during each biennial renewal period.  The two-hour Legislative Update is included in the (24) twenty-four biennial CE requirement.

Special Note: The Producer Licensing Division of the Oklahoma Insurance Department implemented changes so an adjuster may renew his/her license up to 90 days early. The license expiration dates will not be affected.  Adjuster renewal requirements change effective July 14, 2010.

Adjusters with expiration dates of July 2010, August 2010, and September 2010 will have the ability to renew his/her license prior to July 14, 2010. License renewals processed (renewal application made, fees paid and CE completed) prior to July 14, 2010 will be allowed to complete the renewal under the current 22-hour continuing education requirement.

In order to assist resident adjusters whose licenses renew in the months of July 2010, August 2010 and September 2010, with an easier transition into the new CE requirement, the department is implementing the following renewal deadline extension process as long as they have at least 22 hours of continuing education by the set renewal date:

  1. All adjusters subject to the new CE requirements with a renewal date set for July 31, 2010, will have until September 30, 2010, to obtain the required hours and renew his/her licenses before being considered “late.”
  2. All adjusters subject to the new CE requirements with a renewal date set for August 30, 2010, will have until October 31, 2010, to obtain the required hours and renew his/her licenses before being considered “late.”
  3. All adjusters subject to the new CE requirements with a renewal date set for September 30, 2010, will have until October 31, 2010, to obtain the required hours and renew his/her licenses before being considered “late.”
