Effective January 1, 2011, California adjuster licensing laws will change as follows: 

  1. Current independent and public adjuster licensees who renew their license (that expires May 31 2012) are required to complete 3 hours of ethics as part of the 24 hours of CE.
  2. New independent and public adjuster applicants who qualify for a license will be issued a 2-year license that expires on the last day of the same month the original license was issued.
