Effective December 15, 2010, the Florida Department of Financial Services, Division of Agent and Agency Services, will no longer accept VISA-branded credit or debit cards for payment.
VISA’s regulations prevent the pass through of their processing fees to a government entity’s customers. The Department budget is not able to absorb the pass through costs.
MasterCard, Discover Card, American Express, and eCheck are still being accepted.
