Insurance Department Update: Kentucky Adjuster Licenses - Supportive Insurance Services

Effective immediately, the Kentucky Department of Insurance is providing Independent Adjusters with an opportunity to exchange their license class to reflect they are a Staff/Company Adjuster. This offer is available because a 1998 database conversion placed all active Staff Adjusters in the same license class as Independent Adjusters. Kentucky did not offer a Staff Adjuster license between 1998 and 2008. Kentucky allowed Staff Adjusters to operate with an Independent Adjuster license.

The Agent Licensing Division will accept the Exchange Form through June 30, 2010. All requests for this exchange will be processed effective July 1, 2010. There will be no gap in licensure. The Independent Adjuster license will be made inactive July 1, 2010. The Staff Adjuster license will be made active July 1, 2010.
