Insurance Department Updates - Supportive Insurance Services

OHIO: Governor Strickland signed House Bill 300 into law to revise Chapter 3905 of the Ohio Revised Code. Changes go into effect on June 1, 2010 and January 1, 2011. Go to http://www.insurance.ohio.gov/Pages/default.aspx or, call the OH Department of Insurance Licensing Division at 614-644-2655.

VIRGINIA: Company appointment quarterly payments are due May 10, 2010. If the invoice is not received by April 9, 2010, immediately notify the Agents Licensing Section at apptbillinginquiry@scc.virginia.gov. Payments received after May 10, 2010, will be assessed a penalty of $50 per day from the due date until full payment is received by the Bureau. PARTIAL PAYMENTS will not be accepted and WILL BE RETURNED.
