The Colorado Division of Insurance must be able to contact its licensed producers. All licensees must provide a contact address to the Division of Insurance upon licensure. Renewal notices are sent to the address listed on Division records.
Change of Address Notification:
- Individual and insurance agency producers must inform the commissioner in writing, in a form determined by the commissioner, of any change of address within thirty (30) days of the change.
- Failure of any licensee to inform the commissioner of any change to the licensee’s address of record or residence address will be grounds for a penalty.
As of August 1, 2010:
- The Division will impose a minimum fine of $100 for failure to notify the Division of a change of address within thirty (30) DAYS.
- An applicable surcharge (currently at 10%) will also be imposed.
