Insurance Licensing Update: Illinois - State-Based Systems Implementation - Supportive Insurance Services

The Illinois Department of Insurance is implementing the State-Based Systems (SBS), a web based licensing system.

Please Note: During the SBS implementation, electronic and paper license applications and renewals through the National Insurance Producer Registry (NIPR) and the Department will be temporarily unavailable.

Electronic functionality will be unavailable July 16 through July 25, 2010. Normal operations will resume on July 26, 2010.

Individuals are encouraged to apply for and renew insurance licenses through NIPR on or after July 26, 2010.
