The Washington State Office of the Insurance Commissioner announced it will be launching a new search feature on its website in October 2010.  The new search tool will help consumers locate an insurance agent or insurance broker in their area.

The search tool uses the insurance agent’s or broker’s business address.  Most insurance agents or brokers use their residential addresses.  In order for the new tool to work, agents and brokers must go online and update their account to include a business address so that consumers can find them by city.
