Please make a note of the insurance licensing information listed below.

ALABAMA:  Reminder that no later than July 1, 2010, all business entity producers doing business in Alabama must be licensed and appointed with each insurer for which the entity acts.  Foreign business entity producers must obtain a Certificate of Authority from the Secretary of State’s office.  Noncompliance can result in fines up to three times the premium received.

HAWAII:  All insurance licensing fees in Hawaii Revised Statutes section 431:7-101 will be doubled effective July 1, 2010, to June 30, 2014, including issuance, service, and renewal fees for insurers, producers, adjusters, surplus lines brokers, service contract providers, and vehicle protection product warrantors.  Note:

  1. All license application and registration forms received on and after July 1, 2010, will be subject to the new fees.
  2. All licenses due for renewal on and after July 1, 2010, will be subject to the new fees.
