Roy Woodall, Former Kentucky Insurance Commissioner, has been nominated by President Obama as the voting insurance member of the Financial Stability Oversight Council (FSOC).
The FSOC’s responsibility is to monitor systemic risk in the financial-services industry.
Two other insurance representatives will also sit on the FSOC. Missouri Insurance Director John Huff, who represents the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) and Michael McRaith, the new Federal Insurance Office director (FIO). Both will be non-voting insurance members of the Council.
