The New York Insurance Department now requires all insurers, including previously exempt insurers, to provide annual registration statements the insurers’ holding companies file in other states.
Insurers should send a copy of the annual insurance holding company registration statement filed in another state to the Department.
If an insurer does not file an annual registration statement either in New York or in another state, it must provide annual registration data to the Department within 120 days after the end of the parent company’s fiscal year.
