The adjuster licensing process in North Carolina change on January 1, 2011.  The current Department licensing procedures for the Appointment and Termination Form will be eliminated on January 1, 2011.

NOTE:  E-Mail addresses are now required from all licensees in North Carolina.  Licensees should verify their record by accessing the Address Change Request (ACR) function on the NIPR website at www.nipr.com/

Company/Independent Adjusters

  • Individuals applying for a company/independent adjuster license will pay a $50 registration fee and a $75 license fee for a total of $125.
  • The annual $75 license fee is due on or before April 1 of each year.  The Department will e-mail the payment notice.  The license will lapse for adjusters who fail to pay the annual license fee.

Hail Adjusters

  • Individuals applying for a hail adjuster license will pay a $50 registration fee and a $20 license fee for a total of $70.
  • The annual $20 license fee is due on or before April 1 of each year.  The Department will e-mail the payment notice. The license will lapse for adjusters who fail to pay the annual license fee.

Note:  There will now be one quarterly billing sent in January 2011 for adjuster license fees and terminations processed between October 1, 2010 and December 31, 2010.
